At FastTec, the company will present a new generation reusable power clamp with increased clamping force ‘Clip-Trek’.
Clip-Trek is a reusable plastic power clamp for connecting round-shaped elements and is used to securely connect fittings, tubes, pipes and other round-shaped tips to hoses, spigots and other rubber (silicone) products. Also ‘Clip-Trek’ can be used as a reusable clamp for fixing wires in a bundle and fixing them on a stretching cable, fixing wires and tubes to already installed pipes both vertically and horizontally (instead of a tie clamp).
Installation can be carried out without dismantling the pipe from the socket, as the flexibility of the product allows it to be opened by 180 ˚ without risk of breakage. The double row of teeth in the locking lock allows to create a much greater clamping force than similar products with a single row locking device.
Plastic clamps ‘Clip-Trek’ are manufactured using polymers:
• Polypropylene: max. long-term exposure temperature 60 °C, peak temperature 90 °C.
• Glass-filled polyamide (PA 66 + 30% glass fibre): max. long-term exposure temperature 170 °C, peak temperature 210 °C.
• Polyamide (PA 66): max. long-term exposure temperature 132-145 °C, peak temperature 170 °C.
Strike will be exhibiting its products at FastTec.
